What is Photoshop?

Photoshop is a powerful image editing software from the popular graphics design software maker Adobe Systems Inc. Image editing using various features of Adobe Photoshop can be made interesting by using different types of colors. And the image can be beautifully presented with more beautiful effects. With Adobe Photoshop we can create multimedia, graphics design, webpage layout design, etc. So let's take a look at the Adobe Photoshop profile below.


Introduction to Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop software is simply called Photoshop. This software was created by Adobe Systems. Adobe Photoshop is the most popular Adobe software. This software is currently available for Mac and Windows operating systems. The latest version is the 14th version known as Adobe Photoshop CC.

When you run Photoshop, it comes up first like the picture below, except for part number 9. In some cases, it may be a little different for the settings. We are discussing according to the picture number below.

1. Menu bar.

Let's get acquainted (gain, obtain) with present-day techniques that came from the picture above.

Photoshop menu bar

In the above picture, in the 1st part, File, Edit, Image, Layer, View, Window, Help text bar is called the menu bar. These are the names of different menus. Clicking on them brings up the submenu again. For example, after clicking on the Image menu, I got the following sub-menu.

Many submenus are not active if no document is open. When you open a document (number 9) they become active. Again, there are some sub-menus and sub-options.

Photoshop option bar

The second part of the image at the very top is called the options bar. This means that the lower part of the menu bar is the options bar. When we select a tool from the Photoshop toolbox, we can see the different options of that tool in this options bar. Take a good look at the picture below. In fact, several option bars are shown together to indicate that these depend on the various tools of Photoshop.

Photoshop Option Bar


As you can see in the picture above, we have shown three different option bars for the three tools. Clicking on the icons (tools) that you see on the left side changes the options in the options bar based on that tool. You will get step by step after using these.

Photoshop tools or toolbox

In this step of Adobe Photoshop Introduction, we will know Photoshop Toolbox. The long box with the various icons at the top left of the image is called Tools or Toolbox. Necessary tasks can be done in Photoshop by selecting different tools from the toolbox. You can select these tools with the mouse or by pressing different keys from the keyboard. For example, Move Tool, Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool, Quick Selection Tool, Crop Tool, etc. can be used in Photoshop to create beautiful designs.

Photoshop Tools


Tools can sometimes be seen in two columns. Click on the button inside the red circle at the very top of the toolbox in the image above. This time it is two columns. Photoshop toolbox in more detailed form


Photoshop panels

The panels are usually on the right side. You can see many small parts in the picture below. Such as Swatches, Navigator, Brash Presets, Layers, etc.

Photoshop Panels

Usually, two panels have different palettes like layers or navigators etc. They can be made small or big. Like the toolbox, you can make them smaller or larger by clicking on the »or« icon above. Look at the right side of the picture above again, there are only icons. Clicking on those icons will open that palette. See the picture below.

Character plate

Different palettes are used in Photoshop to make the image beautiful and attractive by doing various tasks including image editing. The color palette and layer palette are displayed in part 6 of the image above. Different palettes can be opened in this way in Photoshop.


Document window or canvas

If we want to edit the image here or create a new image, then we open them here. The 5th part of the picture above is actually the document window. If given again in the picture below.

Photoshop Documents

The image you see in the middlebox is called a document set and this part is called the document window. It does not exist when you open Photoshop. To bring it, click on Open or New from the File menu in the menu bar. This will be discussed later.

Photoshop status bar

Also in Photoshop, the bar at the bottom left of the document is called the status bar (see image above, marked in red, with 92.36% and some more information). In this way, various information about the working document running in Photoshop is displayed.

Document title

After opening the document in Photoshop, you will see at the top of the document that the name you entered is showing. Or Untitled -1, Untitled-2 Many documents can be opened simultaneously in Photoshop. Look at the part marked in red at the top of the picture above.
